Fishermen separate a young orca whale (Willy) from his parents and he ends up in a fish bowl at a marina. In Austin, Texas, the girlfriends Julia, Arlene and Shanna meet in a bar to drink, smoke and make out with their boyfriends before traveling alone to Lake LBJ to spend the weekend together.
